Temasek Cares Bursary for Assumption Pathway School Students
Helping financially-needy APS students to succeed
Partner:Assumption Pathway School

The programme reaches out to 100 APS students a year from financially-needy families. The bursaries help the students with their school fees and other education-related expenses such as uniforms, stationery, transportation and meals during recess. The programme complements other financial assistance schemes provided by the school and the Government.

With the additional support, it is hoped that students with financial needs can continue to stay in school and complete their courses of study.

Temasek Cares - Programme to Support Students with Learning Needs
Supporting APS students with learning needs to cope with their curriculum
Partner:Assumption Pathway School

This pilot programme aims to provide more support for the estimated 120 APS students with learning difficulties. The programme enables the school to engage learning support specialists such as an educational psychologist and literacy coaches, as well as to level up the skills of its current teachers.

The specialists work closely with the teachers to assess the needs of each child and to put in place individualized plans of intervention. This may take the form of in-class support or intervention in small group settings.

It is hoped that the programme will enable students with learning needs to successfully access the APS curriculum.
