Temasek Cares – Academic Support Programme for Students with Learning Needs
Helping slower learners to level up academically
Partner: Crest Secondary School
This programme supports students who are slower learners or have learning needs to access the school’s curriculum. Learning Support Officers (LSOs) employed by Crest Secondary School identify these students and develop intervention learning plans for them. Intervention takes the form of in-class or pull-out learning support. An educational psychologist engaged by the school assesses and works with students who have more complex learning needs.
This programme, supported by Temasek Cares, is similar to those put in place in Spectra Secondary School, Northlight School and Assumption Pathway School. The 3-year programme expects to benefit more than 150 students.
